Password Protect A Page

Pages can be password protected in a few ways; in the first, which we will cover here, pages can be locked simply with a password, for which anybody who has the password can access the page. In the second way, a users system can be configured to allow individual member accounts on the site, for which each member would log in and be able to view the page individually with their own password. This will be covered in a later series.

Create a new page or post

To begin, create a new page or post as you normally would: log in, click pages or posts, and add the content you need.

Select the Password Protected Button

Instead of clicking the blue Publish button right away, however, select the Password protected radio button first, and type in a password. Now, after clicking Publish, a user will be prompted to enter the password you specified.
